Pineapple Contracts
ib3 were recently commissioned to design, print and manage the production of a new catalogue for Pineapple's range of contract furniture. Two versions of the catalogue were required together with price lists and a stock brochure. In addition, new photography was required for many new products.
Photography
ib3 built three photographic studios in Pineapple Contracts' London warehouse to produce stunning new images of the furniture. The location was selected to ensure the easy transfer of products. Two interior designers were required to create room sets in two of the studios while the third was used to produce cut-out shots of individual products. Two specialist furniture photographers worked in the studios for a total of 12 weeks.
Design
Working closely with Pineapple Contracts' marketing department, ib3 created a clean, fresh and modern design to appeal to both the contract furnishing sector and the NHS. The client brief was to make the catalogue visually appealing, but also clearly illustrate the key features, benefits and options for each range of furniture.
Each section begins with a room set or setting image to illustrate the quality of each range. In addition, each category is designed with a unique coloured page trim for quick and easy identification.
An information bar was integrated into the design to highlight product descriptions and focus cross references to the price list.
The key to the success of this project relied on clear and regular communication with client and control of the critical path analysis.
The completed project comprised of a NHS and non-NHS catalogue of 354 pages, a 60 page stock brochure and two 60 page price lists.
Pineapple Contracts' managing director, Charles Hathorn commented, “I am absolutely delighted with the work undertaken by ib3. They have impressed us with their creative skills and dexterity in what was a major investment by Pineapple."
